Parkway Motors Auto Group Marks a New Chapter with Expansion to Chatham and Corporate Rebrand
Under its new name, Parkway Motors Auto Group expands its legacy with the addition of a key Toyota dealership in Chatham.
Hamilton, Ontario — Parkway Motors Auto Group is excited to announce a significant milestone in its growth journey with the acquisition of its fourth dealership. Effective September 1, 2024, Campbell Toyota in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, will join the Parkway Motors family, further strengthening the group’s presence in the Ontario retail automotive market. This expansion also marks the rebranding of Parkway Motors Auto Group to Parkway Motors Auto Group, a name that reflects the company’s broader reach and continued commitment to excellence.
The acquisition of Campbell Toyota represents a strategic move for Parkway Motors Auto Group, adding to its existing portfolio of Upper James Toyota, Parkway Nissan of Stoney Creek, and Red Hill Toyota. This expansion into Chatham is a testament to the group’s dedication to serving more communities with high-quality automotive services and an extensive range of new and used vehicles.
A Family Legacy Continues
Campbell Toyota has been a cornerstone of the Chatham community, family-owned and operated for three generations. The dealership’s compelling reputation and established customer base made it a perfect fit for Parkway Motors Auto Group. Two key members of the Campbell Toyota family, Jeff Brewer and Bob Brewer, will remain with the dealership to maintain the high standards of service that customers have come to expect. Jeff Brewer will take on the role of General Manager, while Bob Brewer will continue as Service Manager.
“We are honoured that Wayne and Carrie Carroll, who have been exemplary stewards of Campbell Toyota, have entrusted us with this responsibility,” said Ilya Pinassi, President of Parkway Motors Auto Group. “As a family-owned business ourselves, we understand the importance of maintaining the values and relationships that have been built over generations. We are committed to preserving the close-knit, community-focused atmosphere that has defined Campbell Toyota.”
Strategic Growth and Opportunities
The acquisition of Campbell Toyota offers Parkway Motors Auto Group opportunities for responsible growth.
“This acquisition allows us to optimize our inventory across all locations, providing our customers with even more options,” Pinassi added. “It also offers our team members new avenues for growth, whether remaining in their current roles or exploring new opportunities within this larger group.”
The decision to rebrand Campbell Toyota as “Chatham Toyota” aligns with Parkway Motors Auto Group’s community focus. “We believe the name Chatham Toyota better reflects our commitment to serving this community with the same family-oriented approach that has defined our success,” Ilya said.
Looking Ahead
As Parkway Motors Auto Group continues to grow, the company remains dedicated to responsible expansion. “This acquisition is not just about adding another dealership; it’s about finding the right fit in terms of culture and values,” said Ilya. “We are committed to maintaining our family-focused way of doing business, even as we compete with larger private and public groups.”
Parkway Motors Auto Group continues to look for other opportunities that fit with their values as they expand their footprint.
